🎛️ SWV x Girlset - Weak (Random J Mashup)

The Winamp classic player with a pink colour scheme. Currently playing the Random J mashup of SWV’s “Weak” and Girlset’s “Tweak” — the cover art of which is displayed on the right-hand side.

Girlset’s “Tweak” samples SWV’s “Weak”. So this was too obvious of a mashup to not make.

It had been such a while since I’d heard SWV’s “Weak” that I didn’t even realise just how much of “Weak” is in Girlset’s “Tweak”. It’s such a well produced song which does a great job of sampling and re-using the melodies of “Weak”, but producing something new around it. So many songs which sample and re-use melodies these days do so in the laziest way possible and add absolutely nothing to the song. So shout-outs to JYP and Diego Ave for actually producing and doing something cool.
