🎛️ Whitney Houston x Perfume - How Will I Know x Time Warp (Random J Mashup)

The Winamp classic player with a pink colour scheme. Currently playing the Random J Mashup of Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know” and Perfume’s “Time Warp” — the cover art of which is displayed on the right-hand side.

I adore the production of “Time Warp” and the sound of it. Going back to a fun, buzzy 80s sound was so right for Perfume after two albums of slight mis-steps with their sound. But Nakata still being on his incomplete song structure BS and insisting on Perfume singing like Alvin, Simon and Theodore ruined the song for me. So much so that whenever I listened to “Time Warp”, I just listened to the official instrumental. And one time as I was doing just that, an idea came to me. ‘Put Whitney on the bitch’.

Whitney Houston and Perfume isn’t the most obvious pairing. But, hey. This is the sort of mess which is on brand for my mashups.
