PiKi’s Yasutaka Nakata produced song “Kawaii Kaiwai”, my immediate thought was ‘This music woulda fit nicely on Nebula Romance’. And then I really wanted to hear how Perfume would sound on the song. So, I just…
“Sumikko Disco” was a song which had such a cool sound, but as per one too many of the songs on Nebula Romance, it doesn’t really go anywhere musically and the energy just isn’t there in the song as a whole — it’s just flat. And I think this mashup gives “Sumikko Disco” the jolt of energy and sense of fun that the original was missing.
